Notting Hill Pre-Wedding Photos

ERICA AND GEOFF // A WANDER AROUND LONDON
This was something a little new. When Erica got in touch I couldn't fully grasp what was going on. She explained they wanted a pre-wedding shoot, but they don't get married until next May in Malaysia. But she would be wearing a Winda Halomoan wedding dress all the same. They fancied some Notting Hill pre-wedding photos. I was intrigued.
As it turns out, this is a hugely popular "thing" in Asia. Couples who are due to be married will have numerous photoshoots in the build up to their wedding in locations they happen to visit. Erica and Geoff were going to be in London for a few days and they wanted a collection of photos around Notting Hill and also wherever I could drag them to. I loved the idea.
Now I'll admit, some of these are a little more "posey" than I would ordinarily go for, but Erica and Geoff were naturals and they were more than happy in front of the camera. A walk down Portobello Road dodging the rain, a coffee pit-stop, a ride on the underground, and all the while being photographed, they took it all in their stride.
London really is a goldmine for photos, even the most unlikely of places works wonders for a good image. I am shooting quite a few weddings in the old smoke this year and this has got me even more excited for the year ahead.
