Life is a song - Sing it

Energy and enthusiasm. That's the simplest way I can sum up Jenny-Marie and Dom's Shortmead House wedding in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. With a background in the performing arts and a job as part of the theatre arts scene, Jenny is by no means a shrinking violet. She is infectious - in the best possible way of course. Everyone who comes into contact with her can't help but be drawn in by her enthusiasm for anything she does. Hearing the speeches it becomes clear it's not just me who thinks this.Jenny and Dom were married at Shortmead House. A quite beautiful house (mansion would maybe be more apt) with swimming pool and marquee in the garden. The setting was perfect, everyone free to mingle, dip their toes in the water and enjoy the English summer. It was pretty much a perfect day.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type="1_2"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]The main theme of the day - singing. Lots of it too. When you are around theatre bods I guess you should expect nothing less. Anywhere there was a microphone unattended it seemed someone would grab it and start serenading the group. It was amazing. A highlight for me was Jenny and Dom's pal singing for them as they sat down after the ceremony to sign the register. A medley of songs which included among others "Creep" by Radiohead (awesome). Now I love a sing song in the shower, but I had to catch myself from singing along - I was working after all (plus nobody needs to hear that). Maybe I should say the day was infectious also? Yep, it was.Dom is by no means an exhibitionist. Not one for a fuss at all. He is the calm to Jenny's wild and they work together so well. I could not wait for the first dance to see what they came up with.  As it turned out, by hook or by crook Jenny wanted a lift in there somewhere. As you can see from the images, they lifted.Huge thanks to Sarah Impey for tagging along here and helping out throughout the day :)[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label="Row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]
