Jen and Steve

I quite regularly will shoot with another photographer. Sometimes it's my wedding which I need another pair of eyes at, other times it's me who is the second pair of eyes. When Marshal Gary asked me to help him out with this Barnsley House wedding, I jumped at the chance. Getting to work with other photographers is I think the single best way to grow as a photographer. Seeing others work, picking up tips, thinking in a different way, all this helps us to grow in what we do in any walk of life.Jen and Steve's big day was at Barnsley House in the Cotswolds. A tranquil place, tucked away in the trees. I met up with Jen early and captured her in make-up mode. She is just the sweetest. Having never met the couple before is always apprehensive, but Jen was so warm and open. When she told me their band for the evening I immediately fell in love wth this couple. They had the same band I had at my wedding, Mister Kanish of all people!!! (if you haven't checked them out, I suggest you do).[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type="1_2"][et_pb_text background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial"]  The ceremony at a Barnsley House wedding is a slightly unique setting in that the room is almost divided into two with the band playing at the very far end. It's cool to see so many different venues, all with their own little quirks. Ceremony done, confetti thrown, it was then onto some portraits before the evening meals and merriments. The band kicked off as only Mister Kanish can do and then that was that. This wedding was a great day. The light helped to add an extra little slice of lush to an already beautiful day, and I'm thankful I had the chance to capture it.Thanks to Jen and Steve for allowing to run wild, and to Marshal Gray for asking me to lend a hand.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text use_border_color="off" background_position="top_left" background_repeat="repeat" background_size="initial" _builder_version="3.16.1"]
