There must be something in the water in Aynho which forces people to create incredible wedding venues. Last year I shot at the bonkers Aynhoe Park, this year it was the turn of Charlotte and Wayne's rustic wedding at the Great Barn.Looking back, when Charlotte first contacted me I couldn't believe my luck. Charlotte and I had known each other for years, all the way back to my days working in a music shop when her and her pals would come in and just generally be a pain (not really - although there is a story involving an item of underwear unknowingly attached to one of her friends backs whilst they wandered round the shop which was thoroughly entertaining - I'll let Charlotte elaborate on that if you speak to her), and as a result I jumped at the chance to shoot her wedding. The process of getting to know a couple is part of the whole wedding experience I enjoy greatly. Finding out what makes them tick. With Charlotte I obviously knew her fairly well already, and Wayne I felt like I knew as soon as I met him. Awesome, cool, friendly - but enough about me :) Haha. No, Wayne and Charlotte are all these things and more. The trust Charlotte and Wayne put in me was just what I look for in a couple. I think we have become a society which is bombarded by images of other peoples lives, how they do things, what things should look like. Pinterest is great - for inspiration. However, when it comes to photography, no two weddings are the same. I could shoot the same couple, at the same venue on 2 different days and get 2 very different collections. Lighting conditions will be different, I will feel different, the couple will feel different. All these variations mean that any wedding photographer trying to mimic another shot from Pinterest is destined to fail. For that reason I won't do it. I will do it my own way - and Charlotte and Wayne jumped on that train and we rode it to the end.The wedding was everything I hoped for. The Great Barn at Aynho has a rustic charm to it with modern twists. The large windows either side of the main hall give incredible light, one of the few venues where ceremony shots are a dream. Charlotte was just grace personified. Her dress looked as if it was made just for her, like a song written for someones sweetheart which is just for them. It blew me away. Coupled with her flowers, her beaut of a bridal party - Charlotte, Laura and Lucy, and Wayne on her arm she looked resplendent.I give you Charlotte and Wayne, in all their glory.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label="Row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]
