Winchester Registry Office Wedding Photos
Well this was a first - photographing a wedding without actually photographing the wedding. Sounds weird huh? Well, let me explain.
During the height of Covid, weddings were pretty limited to say the least. One option for some was to have a statutory wedding ceremony. Basically it’s a wedding without the whole ceremony stuff and nobody else allowed in the room - not even parents, or a photographer! Jade and Jack felt that this was exactly right for them. They weren’t really into the fuss of a full on ceremony so at Winchester Registry Office they had a quick ceremony just to get the legal bits done before heading off into Winchester with their nearest loves for some food and a get together. All that being said, they still wanted photos to mark the occasion.
I met them outside the registry office to capture them going in, and how cool did they look? This is exactly the essence of doing a wedding the way you want. Jack said to me he’d be uncomfortable in a suit, that he never wears them, so why on the biggest day of his life would he wear one? Good point. This wedding is exactly who they are as people, and I loved every bit of it.
