Micro Wedding At The Crazy Bear In Stadhampton
If anyone knows of a wedding venue which is cooler than the Crazy Bear at Stadhampton, do kindly let me know. Just up the road from Oxford, this place frankly oozes awesome. For that matter, so do Zoe and Arran, who chose this as the place for their intimate micro wedding. I was incredibly fortunate to get to tag along.
Zoe and Arran had been planning a full scale wedding for summer 2020. Well, we all know how that panned out. They had decided to postpone to 2021, but then I got a call from Zoe saying that they’d decided to get it done ASAP. Getting to know Zoe, it became clear she loves to plan things, so the thought of planning a micro wedding in next to no time at all, and then having to postpone it again by a month, all the while barely batting an eyelid, well I take my hat off to her. What they created was just epic.
Even though this was a micro wedding, it really didn’t feel like it. The Crazy Bear made for a perfect setting - plus rather than have the usual locations for the wedding and the meal, they tweaked things so they could use the smaller rooms so the guests didn’t feel lost in a larger space (great micro wedding tip there). Their Moroccan themed dining space was beautiful, and as the evening drew in rather quickly, the warmth and coziness made it feel truly special.
Here’s Zoe and Arran’s micro wedding as I saw it.
