Burley Manor Wedding In The New Forest
Yasmin and James
Burley Manor in the New Forest could not be more rural England if it tried. I mean, it’s got it’s own deer park across the road. Even the bridal prep room where Yasmin got ready there were deer walking past the window. To be here during the early Autumn was also pretty sweet too. The colours, the crisp air and the dipping sun just gave the whole day one of those feelings which only happens in the English countryside. Set in the heart of the New Forest, Burley Manor hotel is quite the wedding venue, and Yasmin and James embraced it all - even to the point of Yasmin being totally cool with getting her Christian Louboutins covered in New Forest dirt. And she was cool with it. She was. Honest.
We truly were so beyond happy with how our photos turned out (how did you make us look so cool?!) and we are honestly so grateful to you. You are the best at what you do.
Yasmin and James
Yasmin got ready in the bridal suite - a particular highlight being that the wall paint colour is actually shown in the room, and being that we’re renovating our house I managed to find our dining room paint colour here (Sulking Room Pink by Farrow and Ball if you care). I’m sure that was so interesting for you to learn, but it was a nice touch and shows that the hotel really think about their guests and their couples. It’s the little things that count.
Before we knew it, Yasmin was walking down the aisle arm in arm with her insanely proud Dad, and marrying her James. We kept the group photos to a minimum here, and also the couple portraits as Yasmin and James were not the biggest fans of having their photo taken. It just shows though that even with just 10 mins here and there we can still capture some great portraits, and yes guys you looked cool.
We then headed across to the field with the deer, and got as close as we dared. I mean, I couldn’t outrun an angry deer, but I could for sure outrun Yasmin in her Louboutins so I wasn’t worried about me, but it’s frowned upon if a bride is attacked by an angry buck on your watch. So, we stayed cautious and got some shots we wanted. The fact that even though they weren’t fans of having their photos but were still willing to just go for it and trust me to do my thing meant a lot.
Here’s 60 or so of my fave images from Yasmin and James wedding at Burley Manor. I hope you like.
