Bowerchalke Barn Wedding Photography
Emily & Sam

Having photographed umpteen weddings all over the south of England, it’s rare that I come across a venue I’ve not worked at before. It’s even rarer that I get to see such an amazing wedding in the perfect weather with the sweetest of people you could ever hope to meet, all rolled into one. And yet, here we are. Emily and Sam created just the best day at Bowerchalke Barn in the Wiltshire countryside. They knew just what they wanted from their day, and also from their wedding photography - relaxed, fun, natural. Pretty much sums it all up.

Bowerchalke barn just make for the perfect wedding venue. Surrounded by the rolling Wiltshire countryside, it is a self contained venue which while retaining its rustic charm, has obviously been shown a lot of love. It was immaculate. The added bonus, especially for Emily and Sam, was that atop the hill at the end of the lane is a hut in a field where they wanted to have their ceremony. More and more couples are taking this route and choosing a celebrant led ceremony for their wedding, and I am ALL for it. It’s far more relaxed, personal, and heartfelt. Plus you can do them pretty much anywhere you want. Hence Emily and Sam’s wedding taking place in a hut on a hill. It was gorgeous.

After the wedding ceremony it was back down the hill (which Emily and Sam drove down in a vintage open topped sportscar - v swish) and into some drinking, eating, and the most serious games of cornhole and viking chess I’ve ever seen. Honestly, these people are competitive. A; in all though it was a day full of love, laughter, and….life (urgh, I can’t believe I just typed that). But you get the idea.

Here’s Emily and Sam’s wedding at Bowerchalke Barn as I saw it.
