Nobody prepares you for it. Nobody could. Dexter is nearly 4 weeks old now, and in that time I think we have stopped to breathe maybe twice. Again, nobody can quite put into words just how time-consuming a baby is. Technically, all our little guys does is poo, feed, sleep and poo again - in that order. It doesn't sound too taxing, yet that quite easily eats up 24 hours in a day.And here's another thing nobody can really prepare you for - how bloody amazing it is.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type="1_2"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]The little wins we get feel like we are parenting kings, bowing to nobody. We have begun exclaiming bodily functions as triumphs equal to an olympic gold - "Good burp!!" we cry. Nothing can beat it. Our own little daily wins, wondering if that is a genuine smile, or just a good poo on it's way out. Watching him feed, like there is only him and Jen in the whole world, wrapped up in their own little bubble. It's bloody good this parenting lark.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label="Row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]
