My good friend Colin Clay of Rusted Rose Photography contacted me to ask if I fancied accompanying him to shoot the wedding of Jo and Adam. It took me all of two seconds to say yes. You do not turn an opportunity like that down and to Colin, Jo and Adam and all the guys and gals there I must say a huge thank you for making me feel so welcome and letting me run wild around the streets of Malcesine, with my camera in hand and more than a skip in my step and cover this Italian lake wedding. We met up with Jo, Adam and the gang the night we arrived at a small restaurant-come-bar-come-music venue where we drank, ate and sang into the evening. That is what I love most about this "job". Getting to know people. Being welcomed into that little group of people on their biggest days of their lives and treated as one of the family. It's pretty damn special and something I will always be grateful for.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type="1_2"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]The day of the wedding itself had it all, it seems a distant blur in the memory now. A villa up in the hills overlooking Lake Garda, a stroll through the cobbled streets up to Malcesine castle (yes, the castle!), the open air ceremony, the boat trip on the lake, the food, Colin and I sharing a candlelit table at the meal as if we were a couple (Colin wishes), the cigars, the music, the love, everything.Jo and Adam were just the sweetest people and surrounded by their nearest and dearest they had a wedding day like no other. I hope I managed to do the place justice with my meagre photography skills.Huge thanks to Colin for giving me this chance and for Jo and Adam for letting me cover their Italian Lake Wedding :)[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label="Row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]
