A year of weddings and a lot more besides

2016 for many was a turbulent year. David Bowie decided we could handle things fine without him. Well that went well. This year, particulalry on social media has been, for want of a better word, depressing. It seems as though this world is trying to destroy itself (or rather us destroy it - and also each other while we're at it). You cannot look at Facebook or the news without something terrible lurking round the corner. 2016 has been a year of bedlam. For many 2016 will be a year to forget.For me, 2016 is one for the record books. It was the year I became a father.For others, it was the year of their happiest day ever. Weddings galore and whole lotta love. [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type="1_2"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]I meet just about the most amazing, beautiful, thoughtful, loving and caring people in the world whilst doing my job. Couples who have entrusted me to capture their "I do's" with their whole heart and accepted me into their lives with open arms. I am so fortunate to be able to do what I do. Not only do I get to see a whole lot more of my little boy than many other dads, but I also get to travel all over, photographing once in a lifetime events, all the while enjoying myself very much indeed.There is a lot of hate out there at the moment. A lot of fear. Some justified for sure, some not so much. One thing I see whilst doing my job, way more than anything else, is love. It's everywhere. Families, friends, plus ones, couples, kids, it's everywhere. We're all in this together, and if there is that much love going around, hate doesn't stand a chance.Big love to all my couples, past a present, and to their families and friends.
