Evenley Wood Garden Wedding
Woodland wedding at Evenley Wood Garden // Izzy and Gemma
Set in the Northamptonshire countryside, Evenley Wood Garden was the backdrop for this picturesque woodland wedding of Izzy and Gemma. From the off, they both decided that they wanted a relaxed, natural, and festival theme to their day. Added to that they wanted one of their pals to conduct the ceremony, so they went for a humanist ceremony in front of their moon gate, surrounded by the trees and their loved ones. The aisle made up of rugs, with wooden benches for the guests, everything about this wedding was thoughtfully and tastefully assembled.
Izzy and Gemma were keen for the photography to be natural and unfussy - luckily that’s what I’m all about. They wanted to capture the fun and beauty of their day, but without feeling too on show either. I mean, it’s hard not to be on show when they look as amazing as they do, but often couples don’t like that “centre of attention” feel. I made sure that when it came to the photos of the two of them, we’d do it away from the crowd, and what a thing we created.
The reception and party was held in a huge tipi supplied by the very awesome Amazing Tipis, complete with it’s own bar, fire pit and just about the biggest cake/sweet table I’ve ever seen. The whole vibe was right up my street, and I ate waaaaay too much. After the food and speeches I managed to steal them both away for some more pics around the grounds, and Evenley Wood Garden provides so many gorgeous spots for photos I was spoilt for choice.
Into the evening, and the marshmallows were being roasted, games were being played, and the band were starting up. The dance floor was frankly a blur - a mangled heap of chaos, limbs and drink spillages, which means it was a ruddy good knees up. I didn’t want to leave, and everyone there made me feel so welcome. I love my job.
Here’s Izzy and Gemma’s wedding at Evenley Wood Garden as I saw it.
