Rushmere Farm, Hampshire // Eloise and Sam
I love a good DIY wedding. I love a good farm wedding also. Put the two together and you’ve got my idea of heaven. Eloise and Sam chose Rushmere Farm near Hambledon in Hampshire for their wedding and they invited me along to capture all that went down. From guests sitting on hay bales for the ceremony, to the mid-wedding beer run when they realised they’d massively underestimated the drinking power of their pals, I loved it all.
I met Eloise and their house to snap some getting ready bits before heading for the farm. Held under a giant gazebo, with hay bales and bunting this had that festival feel and with an onsite yurt and shepherds hut it was full on festivally (is that a word?). Rushmere farm is a multi use venue, and you basically have to do it all yourselves which suited Eloise and Sam perfectly. They knew exactly what they wanted from their day and were able to create that almost unrestricted.
Their blessing was conducted by one of Sam’s collegues in the fire service - a real cool touch. Another tick in the box of things which favour a DIY wedding blessing, as being able to have a loved one carry out your ceremony is truly heartfelt. I loved that. I think that’s one thing I’ll remember from their big day, the abundance of love (and booze). Oh, and the pizza. Yes, no festival wedding is complete without pizza.
I loved everything about Eloise and Sam’s day at Rushmere Farm, and it was hard to whittle down the images to 50 or so, but I managed it, so here goes.
