Dolly and David jetted off for the stunning Greek isle of Santorini for their wedding at Le Ciel Santorini, and I was fortunate enough to be taken along for the ride. And what a ride. 3 days spent in such a setting gives a real feeling of “yeah, I’m doing this” and I loved every minute.
Going all that way means one thing is a must - a pre-wedding shoot. Whenever I shoot destination weddings I always try and get a shoot in with the couple before the actual wedding day, as away from the wedding there is so much scope for interesting images and a time to capture Dolly and David in a far less time restricted manner. So, without further ado,
The Night Before
Dolly and David had wanted to try to get to the small village of Megalochori for their wedding portraits, but as their ceremony was a little late in the day, we’d be pushed for time to get there and back before sunset (check out further down for exactly why they HAD to get back for the sunset). So, we decided to head to this idyllic Santorinian village just as the sun was dipping for a little pre-wedding warm up.
The Morning After
Anything I write here won’t do it justice. Needless to say, to be in the company of such a group of people so full of love for each other and that kind of friendship that you just can’t buy, and to be able to watch the sun set on Le Ciel Santorini, and to see Dolly and David say “we do”. Well, blessed just doesn’t cut it.
